Should this should be renamed from "alternate fire" to "alternative fire"? It is fairly common to see them used interchangeably, but that doesn't mean it's right. Info:

Alternate versus Alternative. Alternate (as an adjective) traditionally means going back and forth between two things, as in alternate Mondays (i.e., every other Monday). Alternative means other. Traditionalists prefer an alternative to an alternate plan. (Real traditionalists insist that alternative can be used only in cases where there are two options.) [1]

Hmm, I hadn't really considered this. Alternate seems to be the accepted usage in most gaming contexts, and the two words seem to have similar meaning. Best to pick one and stick to it, I say. KyleOrl 15:51, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
