HD DVD

Acronym for high-definition digital versatile disc, a high-capacity DVD format created by Toshiba for data storage and high-definition playback of movies.

An HD DVD movie player is sold as a peripheral for the Xbox 360.

HD DVD acceptable on all references

Example: Movies on HD DVD have a much higher resolution than those stored on a normal DVD.

Wrong: HDDVD, HD-DVD, hd-dvd
